Our Mission

The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our community and the world.

Brookville First United Methodist offers a warm and cordial welcome.

Our Pastor Rev. Ali Petrey

profile

Born in Dayton and raised in Kettering Ohio, Rev. Alexandra Petrey’s middle name is Joy, but most people call her Ali.

Having felt a calling as a teenager, she has served in ministries over the last 18 years in West Ohio, Chicago and Detroit. She was commissioned as Provisional Clergy in 2014.

Evidenced by her ministry experience thus far, she heart-fully believes the Church is the hope for the world. Ministry gifts include preaching, pastoral care and counseling, community partnership building, and youth ministry.

In her spare time she enjoys biking, farmers’ markets, being creative through the arts, and going to the movies.

Her mother Marilyn and extended family live in the Dayton area, and her Godson Brooks and his family live in Delphos Ohio. Although she doesn’t have any pets, she loves dogs.

Our Vision

We are a multi-generational Christian community seeking to fan into flame the gift of God among us.

Our invitation extends to all who seek the forgiving experience of God’s love; to all who love Christ and seek His presence; to young and old, rich and poor, saint and sinner. This church offers the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ to anyone who desires to learn obedience to God’s will and find strength to live in faith, love, and peace. This is not a ministry of exclusion, but a church of inclusion that excepts and welcomes everybody, just the way you are.
