Celebrate Valentines Day by Renewing Your Vows
On Sunday, February 14, we'll celebrate Valentines Day by offering you the chance to renew your marriage vows in worship. In between worship we will have wedding cake for our fellowship time as we celebrate this day of love. Invite your friends and neighbors who might also enjoy this opportunity to renew their vows and to celebrate God's gift of marriage.
24 Hours That Changed the World
Walk with Jesus on his final day.
Sit beside him at the Last Supper.
Pray with him in Gethsemane.
Follow him to the cross.
Desert him. Deny him.
Experience the Resurrection.
Starting Sunday, February 21, our church will offer a seven-week worship series and study you won’t want to miss: “24 Hours That Changed the World.” We will walk with Jesus through the last 24 hours of his life. We want you to experience and understand the significance of Jesus’ suffering and death in a way you never have before.
Whether you are a long-time Christian or simply curious about the story of Christ’s crucifixion, you are invited to join us on this inspiring journey by:
Commiting to be in worship all the Sundays from February 21 through Easter Sunday
Join the Tuesday or Wednesday night study group (see below for details. Sign-up sheets are in the lobby outside the churhc office)
Purchase a book and read along on your own
Use the daily devotional guide for the 40 days of Lent
The study includes:
24 Hours That Changed the World, a book by Adam Hamilton
24 Hours That Changed the World: Video Journey, a DVD with seven sessions that were filmed in the Holy Land, plus a leader guide
As part of this event, we will be making an extra effort to invite members of the surrounding community to participate. Since the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life are so central to our faith, we will be making a special effort to invite people in the community to join us for worship and for one of the study groups.
